Safety and Training Supervisor

Our client is a modern manufacturing site located near Grand Island, Nebraska, seeking a Safety and Training Supervisor. The Safety and Training Supervisor will play a vital role for this plant, seeking someone with a proven track record of establishing a strong safety program or managing a safety program turnaround. Supervisory experience also needed, as this position will have direct reports, including the training associates and staff nurse.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring the safety program for the plant, making recommendations for improvement, and works closely with supervisors and employees to identify workplace hazards, eliminate unsafe conditions, and provide educational resources to reduce/eliminate workplace accidents
Oversees safety and health activities site-wide, including leadership of the Safety Committee
Performs safety validations for all new and/or modified equipment and/or processes
Coordinates the Job Safety Analysis, Hazard Assessment, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Hygiene sampling, fire protection programs for the site
Oversees the training function for this location
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline
5-10 years of related experience needed for this position, at a minimum
Candidate with proven experience to establish a solid safety program in a manufacturing plant
Prior training experience preferred
Engineering experience a plus
Safety experience required, additional experience with environmental a plus
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
