Lead Business Unit Coordinator - Manufacturing Coordinator

Our client is a leading manufacturer of Medical Devices and Diagnostics, seeking an experienced Lead Business Unit Coordinator - Manufacturing Coordinator who will be responsible for achieving production goals for a product line, and meeting all GMP and Quality Standards, budgeted costs of production plant safety standards and weekly schedule requirements. The Lead Business Unit Coordinator - Manufacturing Coordinator will manage supervisory and hourly employees to achieve goals.
Responsibilities:
Assists with planning, scheduling and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the business unit
Provides direction to supervisors and hourly employees in the areas of safety, scheduling, production methods, quality and waste standards, efficiency and productivity, employee relations and company policies
Promotes positive employee relations
Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean, Validation, training and strives to drive success of these programs
Directs efforts to reduce process variation and monitors productivity and waste issues
Assists with development of departmental budgets and cost reduction goals
Monitors staffing needs and communicates with managers
Develops direct reports
Coordinates preventive maintenance with department managers
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related a must
3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing is required
Previous experience supervising salaried and hourly employees preferred
Oversight of multi-shift groups preferred
Experience developing and achieving departmental budgets required
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to coach/develop employeesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
