Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney Neb.
At CHI Health Good Samaritan youll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service.
Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery a level II neonatal intensive care unit a nationally accredited cancer center comprehensive neurosurgery advanced orthopedic program and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Responsibilities:
We cant express enough how important our lab staff is to our mission and calling! In the lab you will be assisting with a variety of procedures.
You will be receiving and preparing for the tests as they come in! If you are someone looking to join an amazing culture and community, then we want to talk to you! Some of what youll do:
Collects, transports, receives, prepares and accurately tests biological specimens using procedures consistent with safe work practices and proper laboratory technique while maintaining integrity of specimens.
Performs waived and moderate complex testing as allowed by CLIA regulations.
Critically evaluates specimen integrity.
Ensures that lab results fit clinical context for each individual patients specimen.
Immediately reports testing outside of normal parameters to authorized testing personnel.
Communicates and documents test status and results in a timely manner to clinical personnel involved in patient care.
Maintains and operates test systems for optimal performance; collaborates with tech or technician to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
Education/Licensure:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
1 year lab experience preferred.
