Overview No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same.
You're a multitasker who can react quickly as you'll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you're providing emergency triage to others.
As part of our ER team, you'll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.
To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives.

Francis in 1924, CHI Health-Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska.
At CHI Health-Good Samaritan you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service.
Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Good Samaritan's Level II Trauma Center provides the highest level of trauma, surgical and critical care.
Our team of nationally and internationally respected experts stands ready to take care of patients with traumatic injuries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
CHI Health Good Samaritan is designated as an Advanced Level II Trauma Center by the Nebraska Statewide Trauma System, which demonstrates the ability to meet stringent criteria reflecting commitment, excellence and assurance of high quality care for all trauma patients.
Compensation:
Base rate

$25,000 sign on bonus till June 30th, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years) Responsibilities Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient's condition as needed.
Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.
Qualifications Graduate of an RN nursing program.
Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact.
Must have 1 year of nursing experience BLS(Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association.
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) required within 3 months of hire ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 5 months of hire.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 5 months of hire.
NRP (Neonatal resuscitation program) required within 6 months of hire.
TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) required within 12 months of hire.
ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) required within 18 months of hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
