Responsible for assisting physicians in their medical practice by providing technical assistance and care to patients who are chronically or acutely illWorks under supervision to assist in restoring or maintaining patients at a maximum level of healthProvides technical nursing care through interviews, assessments and vital signsAdministers medications topically, orally, injection or intravenous as ordered by the physicianAdministers treatments within his/her scope of practice as ordered by the physicianAssist physicians with examinations and procedures as neededPrepares patients for procedures per protocolArranges diagnostic proceduresObtains prior authorizationsParticipates in obtaining and meeting quality measuresMaintains a clean, safe patient environmentMonitors equipment to be sure it is in proper working conditionMay assist physician with minor surgeryAnswers telephoneResponds to patient concerns or questions and intervenes to solve patient problemsMaintains appropriate records, assists with coding and patient chargesCollects and properly disposes of selected specimensProvides appropriate education to patients/familiesAssists with filling and refilling prescriptions per doctor#s ordersCooperates with other personnel to maintain good employee and public relationsInforms supervisor or clinic Director of concerns or problemsAttends required meetings and maintains personal growth and development through workshops and in-service meetingsEducation/
Experience:
