Job Description Summary Provide support for a Microsoft Windows based Local and Wide area network.
Install and repair personal computers and related software applications.
Perform work requiring implementation of course of action; adjust methods to meet task requirements with some interpretive judgment required.
Job Responsibilities Perform personal computer systems related tasks; assist in the implementation of computer networks; assist computer users in problem-solving of technical and operational difficulties; provide general support to computer networks; respond to personal computer problems; move and install all types of computer equipment and software; update peripherals; load and configure software; configure devices for access to network and server infrastructure; identify problems and provide potential solutions; provide technical user training; participate in on-call rotation; perform overtime as required; perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Requirements Education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in Computer Sciences or closely related field.
Experience with PC based equipment operation and knowledge of personal computer hardware and software installation and configuration.
Two years software experience with Central Square Public Safety, Tyler Technology New World ERP, Microsoft Office and Laserfische preferred.
Must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license.
Mental Requirements Mental Ability to read and comprehend written material.
Ability to listen to and apply information and instructions.
Ability to understand and apply personal computer concepts.
Ability to organize files and effectively retrieve information.
Ability to evaluate and execute possible courses of action.
